DIY Blue Moon Bath Salts

It’s funny how we know a Full Moon is coming without even looking at the calendar. We can feel the shift in energy, the need to release becomes a priority. It can be challenging to find the time to invest in yourself and honor your emotions. One of the simplest ways to cleanse and reconnect with yourself is through a bath. A warm, luscious, body of water enveloping your body and washing away the dirt, grime and negative energies that may be weighing you down. As the Full Moon approaches this weekend you may be feeling the need to relax, release and re-invest in yourself. So do it. Make it simple, but significant.

A bath alone is all you need to cleanse the unwanted vibes, but taking the extra step and adding these bath salts increases the therapeutic benefits and helps reiterate the value of self-care. Allow your mind to drift away as you bathe yourself in the soothing aroma of lavender. The combination of epsom and crystal salts draws out toxins and exfoliates the physical body. Sweet almond oil moisturizes the skin, leaving you soft and smooth as you step out and dry off.

This simple act of indulgence is the perfect compliment to the Full Moon energy, allowing you to release both physically and mentally. Light a few candles, put on some calming music and enjoy this moment as you let go.

INGREDIENTS

1 cup epsom salts
1 cup coarse himalayan crystal salt
10-12 drops of lavender essential oil  (we use mountain rose herbs)
1 tbsp. sweet almond oil (we like mountain rose herbs)
2 tbsp. dried lavender flowers

Simply mix together all of your ingredients in a non porous bowl. Make sure the almond oil is evenly mixed throughout the salt mixture. For a detoxifying bath add 1/2 cup of Release + Relax Bath Salt and fill a bathtub with warm water. Soak for 15-30 minutes (or even longer if you want the ultimate experience).
